activity
Just like anyone else, highway workers want to go home to their friends and family at the end of the day. Their jobs may not be the usual 9 to 5, but they deserve the same amount of safety and respect. After spending just a few minutes with someone who spends most of their time in a work zone, we think you might find that theyve got a lot to share about the importance of work zone safety.
Conduct a 5-10 minute interview with a highway worker about work zone safety and Work Zone Awareness Week. Who constitutes a road worker? Someone working in the following departments/fields; Kentucky Department of Transportation, law enforcement, construction company, county or municipal public works, or utility worker.
Complete and brainstorm your own questions to complete the video.
